I chose an article on how Disney Channel stars are expected to hold high standards and an unrealistic image. I like this article because it backs up the same idea that I want to write my paper on, has good examples and evidence, and is a light tone but also sarcastic. I also like how the writer blames Disney channel and not necessarily just the actors and actresses, which is the argument I am trying to make.
I think Hilary Duff is the best example of the power that Disney possesses. I didn't even know that she kept releasing music when she left Disney, so that just show how much influence Disney has on their stars popularity.
ReplyDeleteI think this is a very relevant topic that constantly arises in entertainment news. Since I wrote my first paper on Miley Cyrus, I think it's very interesting to examine the unrealistic expectations Disney stars are supposed to fulfill. On the other hand, these days it seems like most everyone expects the worst to come of rising Disney stars because of the wrong paths that past stars such as Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Hilary Duff, have gone down.
