pre paper 3.1

1. My principle claim is that Hollywood has a habit of ruining our childhood memories. By this I mean stealing iconic pop-culture references and distorting them in such a way that they alienate the reference's original audience. I will be evaluating movies based on iconic cartoons and TV shows from the 80’s. After reading the argument, I want the audience to believe that something has been taken from them.

2. Ideally the argument will appear in a blog or a general interest magazine such as Rolling Stone.

3. The audience consists primarily of 20 something that have fond, nostalgic memories of the 1980s. They are very knowledgeable about the issue and tend to take a similar stance as I.

4.I hope to present myself as credible yet sarcastic.

5. It analyzes the film itself, compares it to the original cartoon and then gathers first hand testimonies about how the two compare.

6.In my paper I will use first hand testimonies and movie reviews as evidence. This sort of evidence would likely convince my audience because it is what they rely on to make decisions.

7.
I will arrange my evidence in such a way that my strongest points are presented last.

8.
I will include evidence contrary to my main argument.
